Color Image Edge Detection Method Based on the Improved Whale Optimization Algorithm

A high level of computation is required for edge detection in color images captured by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to address issues, such as noise, distortion, and information loss. Thus, an method UAV-captured based on the improved whale optimization algorithm (WOA) proposed this study. In method, image pixels are represented quaternions, global random position variables exchange mechanism introduced into walk foraging formula WOA. Further, a disturbance factor also predator-prey spiral bubble net. The WOA then used obtain preliminary image. An edge-point classification using radius shortest distance between current optimum each iteration presented enhance edge. experimental results show that has advantages strong denoising, fast speed, good quality.
